Between Heaven + Earth: Judy Edwards

I always sense God's presence when I am by the ocean.

I hear and feel peace in the gentle ripples and joy in the squeals of the children on their boogie boards. The power of the waves, the dependability of the tides, the infinite distance of the horizon—all suggest to me a divine order and plan. As I walk the bluffs over the sea, I often find myself humming "How Great Thou Art."

Oh Lord, my God
When I, in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
